Editorial Policy
The AMERICAN JOURNAL OF THEOLOGY & PHILOSOPHY publishes articles on American theology and its dialogue with philosophy. Specifically, there are four editorial emphases:
(1) the interface between theology and philosophy, especially where theological efforts have utilized the American philosophical tradition, (2) the history and development of liberal religious thought in America, (3) themes of relevance to the “Chicago School” of theology, and (4) naturalism in American theology and philosophy.
|
The Journal is published three times per year: in January, May, and September. Manuscripts (four copies) on topics related to one or more of the four editorial emphases may be sent to Editor Jesse for consideration by a review committee of three from the editorial board. Manuscripts should be approximately 15-18 pages and no longer than 25, double-spaced, with footnotes and not endnotes. Submission of a computer disk (CD or DVD) with the article or an electronic copy e-mailed to wesrobbins@ameritech.net is required of all accepted manuscripts. The submitted file must be compatible with Microsoft Word. Persons desiring return of manuscripts should so indicate and include sufficient postage. |
